Mary M Herring

Mary M Herring was born July 10, 1946 to John H Pitman and Ida Mae (Hallock) Pitman. She passed away on March 8, 2024 at her home surrounded by her husband and 3 daughters.

Mary attended and graduated from Davis schools where she met the love of her life. On September 5, 1964, Mary married her highschool sweetheart, Les Herring For over 59 years they shared a wonderful life, raising 3 daughters, loving 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, as well as many extra children and grandchildren. Anyone who knew her became instant family and was treated like one of her own kids/ grandkids, no matter the age.

Survivors include her husband, Lesley J. Herring, of the home; daughters, Wendy Forrester and husband Paul, Roff,OK, Julie Moore and husband Marvin, Sulphur, Jamie Brown and husband Claude, Hickory; granddaughter, Amanda Jones, husband Gerald, Kache Lewis, Kegan Lewis, Justin Landreth, wife Emily, Tye Brown, John Brown, and Marshall Brown; great grandchildren, Tripp, Tuff, Bailyn, & Breckin Lewis, Madilyn Jones, Evelyn Landreth, Jemma and Judge Lewis.

She was proceeded in death by both of her parents, brother Johnny Pitman, and grandson Treyce Lewis.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
