There are only a few days left for survivors to apply for FEMA assistance if they were affected by the April 25-May 9 storms and tornadoes in Carter, Craig, Hughes, Johnston, Kay, Lincoln, Love, Mc-Clain, Murray, Nowata, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, Washington and Washita counties. Although the Disaster Recovery Center has closed at the Murray County Extension office in Sulphur on 7/26, FEMA has a new temporary site at the Mary Parker Memorial Library from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday 7/29 thru Fri 8/9. FEMA representatives are on-site and available to help assist survivors with registering, answer questions the survivor may have about their application process, update applications with new information, upload documents needed for their case & provide information about other disaster recovery resources.
