August 14, 1958 – September 1, 2024 Richard Monroe Redmond passed away at the age of 66 years and 18 days on Monday, September 1, 2024, in Mill Creek. He was born on August 14, 1958, in Sulphur, to Ezekiel Monroe and Martha Marie (Welborn) Redmond.

During his working career, Richard was a skilled welder, known for his dedication and craftsmanship. Outside of work, he had a deep love for breaking and riding horses. Richard had a unique ability to find humor in every situation, teaching those around him to laugh, even during tough times. He was also known for his love of telling jokes, bringing joy to everyone who knew him.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Ezekiel and Martha Redmond; his brother, Claude Redmond; and his sisters, Bernice Redmond, Bonnie Owens, and Diane Harper.

He leaves behind his son, Richard Redmond, and wife Christina of Sulphur; his grandchildren, Rivers Redmond and Grey Redmond, both of Sulphur; his brother, Jerry Redmond of Edmond; and his sisters, Betty Parks of Hope, Arkansas, and Lois Osman and husband Chuck of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him.

In accordance with Richard’s wishes, no services are scheduled.
