Sandra “SAM” Lambert was born August 31, 1941, in Stringtown, to the late Burl and Alice Magby. She passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida at the age of 83 years and three days.
In her lifetime, Sam had a wide variety of jobs. She was a waitress at Jollyville, Sequoyah Carpet factory, Pavers, bar owner and retired as a nurse. Her many hobbies including reading, crocheting, quilting and her favorites going fishing with Jeannie and playing Shuffleboard with her many friends.
Survivors include three daughters, Theresa Vos of Jacksonville, Florida, Carolyn Cole and husband Rick of Sulphur and Beverly “Jeanie” Wills of More; one son, Bill Wills and wife Sheila of Sulphur; and two bonus daughters, Bobbie Sue Sledd and Sondra Swanson. She is also survived by two brothers, , Loyd and Porter; and two sisters, Roe and Celestia. Sam had been blessed with 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Sam was preceded in death by a son, Burl; daughter, Gayla; grandson, Daniel; brother, Walter and sister, Carol.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
