Leo was born December 31, 2013 and went home to Jesus on August 31, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. At four months of age, Leo became the treasured son of Hank and Deziree Beasley of Murray County. For 10 years and 9 months, Leo fought courageously the effects of Shaken Baby Syndrome.
Leo attended Sulphur Public Schools from Pre-K to third grade and loved every single minute of his days at school.
Leo was the light of his family and the center of their worlds. His beautiful smile and gorgeous brown eyes lit up the souls of everyone he met. To know Leo was to love him. His love was so pure, his hugs and kisses one of a kind. He loved his niece Zaylee and cousin Avery but would not hesitate to let them know that he would spank them when he thought they were being too loud.
His favorite movie was Moana and he had quite the crush on Moana. As the ladies’ man he was, he had several girlfriends and melted many hearts with that signature side eye and grin. He also loved to hang with the boys and play basketball outside.
Leo was a true warrior. He overcame so many obstacles and fought so hard every single day. Despite his struggles, he had such a beautiful life. He won his fight the second he opened his eyes in Heaven.
Leo is survived by his mother and father, Hank and Deziree Beasley; sister, Aubree Sims; brother-in-law, Brian Sims; niece, Zaylee Sims; brother, Caiden Beasley; brother, Hayden Wahnee; sister, Aniyah Wahnee; cousins, Grayson Huckabaa, Trinity Huckabaa and Avery Baker; many aunts, uncles, cousins; his grandparents, both biological and adoptive, and amazing friends Leo was preceded in death by his grandparents, Linda Gibson, Vernon Kahlor, Buddy and Minnie Todd, Neil and Norma Gibson, Ahpe Mavis Tsotaddle, Joseph Tsotaddle, Sr., Harvey Jim, Jr. , Viola Jim and Benjamin Jim, Jr.
