Dogs Host 2-2 McLoud On Homecoming Night

Sulphur will look to move to 2-0 in district play on Friday night, as they host McLoud.

McLoud is 2-2 on the year and won its first district game last year, beating Mannford.

Shawn Hill is the Redskins top player and is someone who Cole and the coaching staff will look to slow down.

“He is a tremendous player that is the total package,” Cole said. “He is very dangerous when he has the ball in his hands.”

Hill (6-foot-1, 180) has 70 carries for 555 yards and seven scores on the ground in four games. He also nine catches for 118 yards and three scores receiving.

Cole also talked about the fast paced offense that the Redskins display and how the defense will need to continue to play well.

“Coach Ramsey has those guys playing fast and hard,” Cole said. “They are getting after it and we have to be ready to play.”

Zaylun Matlock has 196 yards and three carries as the other running back for McLoud. He also has nine catches for 121 yards and a touchdown receiving.

Cole hopes his team can continue to stay hungry and be ready for the new challenge this week.
