Virginia Lee Jones was born on November 3, 1949, in Sentinel, Oklahoma to Bart and Margaret Dobbs Holcomb. She passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 12 days. Virginia had lived in this area for several years; working for the Chickasaw Telephone Company as a bookkeeper for 15 years. She and Larry Jones were married on February 2, 1996, and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2011. Virginia was a member of the Church of the Firstborn.
Virginia was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Jo Grounds and Gail Snyder.
She is survived by her daughter, Shannon White and other relatives.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur with Steve Dobbs and Bob Hunter to officiate. Interment will follow under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home in Sulphur. Those serving as pallbearers will be Mark Jacob, Jacob Hunter, Eli Hunter, Doug Stoliby, Danny White and Ronnie Tillery.
Arrangements were made under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home in Sulphur.
