Funeral services for Kathryn Nuegene Emerson will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at Hale’s Memorial Chapel, in Sulphur, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating.
Kathryn was born November 23, 1940, in Milburn, to the late Carl and Marie (Robertson) Gahagan. She died on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, in Sulphur, at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 2 days.
The earlier years of Kathryn’s life were spent in California, prior to settling in theAda area. She was a very devoted mother, working various jobs to provide the best for her children. Most of her career was spent in the healthcare industry, working as a Nurse’s Aide in area nursing homes.
Although she was a homebody by nature, Kathryn did enjoy traveling, fishing, riding motorcycles, and an occasional trip to the casino. She cherished spending quality time with her beloved family and friends.
Survivors include four sons, Walter Myers, Warren Myers, Wesley Myers and Wendell Myers; two daughters, Wanda (Myers) Lee-Newton and husband Paul, and Jeana Weatherford; 14 grandchildren; several great and great-greatgrandchildren; as well as five siblings, Luther White, Eddie Thurman, Charles Sheppard, Glenda Luman and Norma Parks; and one stepbrother, Larry Harrison.
In addition to her parents Kathryn was preceded in death by husbands, Arthur Myers, Jim Weatherford and Tom Emerson; one daughter, Wilima Eubanks; and one grandson, Jeremy Lee.
