Funeral service for Waylon Ryder Holley will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2024 in the Arena Cowboy Church, North of Lawton, with Billy Harmon and David McGhghy officiating.
Burial will follow in Letitia Cemetery, east of Lawton, under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends from 4-6 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Waylon Ryder Holley, age 23, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Born on August 6, 2001, in Lawton, Ryder moved to Sulphur, Oklahoma, at a young age. He graduated from Sulphur High School in 2020 and briefly attended Vo-Tech after high school.
Ryder’s work history spanned various roles, where he became known as a talented salesman with a natural gift for connecting with others. He was a good golfer, enjoyed fishing, and loved playing video games. Above all, he cherished his role as an uncle.
He is survived by his father, Waylon Holley and his companion Dawn Griffith, Lawton; his mother and bonus dad, Denise and Bobby Rose, Sulphur; sisters, Jordyn Whitman, Blakely Betterton and husband Skyler, and Lyndsey Ramer and husband Justin, all of Sulphur, and Halli Hodges, Iowa Park, Texas; nieces, Brytin Ramer, Jace Ramer, Adalie Betterton, Alexis Betterton and Avery Betterton; uncles, Mitch Crow and wife Amber, Coby McClure, Frank Holley, Danny Holley and wife Tracy, and Michael Caldwell and wife Chanin; aunts, Suzanne Crow Henson and Diana Lawson and husband Kevin; grandparents, Tink and Vida Holley and Randy and Shirley Thomason; and his beloved dog, Roscoe Jones.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Judy McClure; maternal grandfather, Dennis Crow; paternal grandmother, Barbara Caldwell “GEGE” Thomason; and his maternal great grandmother, Edith Jesse.
