It was a packed house at Agee Field in Sulphur last Friday evening (above) as the Bulldogs punched their ticket to the Class 3A semifinals with a 53-21 win over the Idabel Warriors.
The Bulldogs (11-1) are now just one win away from playing for the state championship, but have a big hurdle this Friday when they face Checotah (8-4) in a 7:00 p.m. start at Moore High School.
Sulphur’s only loss this season came in the opener when they fell to state’s number one Class 2A team and currently undefeated, Washington, in a double overtime thriller.
Local fans are very familiar with the Moore stadium. It was the site of the team’s second state championship when they rolled over Purcell.
