Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) issued the following statement after taking the oath of office and being sworn in for the 119th Congress, where he will continue his leadership as Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee: “‘It’s morning again in America,’ as Reagan once said. With that same spirit of optimism, the American people gave us a mandate of change, and we will move into a new Congress where our America First commitment will help us build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous nation. I’m honored to continue working beside my colleagues, leadership, and appropriators in this pursuit as Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee.
“Now, more than ever, it’s critical for us to provide a strong fiscal framework. Republicans are united behind effective governance, safeguarding hard-earned tax dollars, and implementing solutions that unlock our nation’s full potential.
