Sulphur’s high school basketball teams are gearing up this week for the annual Charles K. Heatly Classic in Lindsay. Action will get underway for all teams beginning with first round games on Thursday, followed by semifinal action Friday and finals and consolation games on Saturday. Brackets, above, show the times and teams for each game.
The Bulldogs will open the tournament seeded second and will face seventh-seeded Duncan in a 11:20 a.m. game Thursday. Lindsay is the top seed and will face Harrah in a 7:20 p.m. game, also on Thursday. The other two first-round games pit three-seeded Chickasah against sixth-seeded Plainview at 4:40 p.m. and fourth-seeded Pauls Valley against fifth-seeded Cache in a 2:00 p.m. Thursday game.
On the girl’s side, the Lady Bulldogs, seeded eighth, will face top-seeded Harrah in 10:00 a.m. Thursday game. In other action, fourth-seeded Duncan will face fifth-seeded Pauls Valley in 12:40 p.m. game; three-seeded Lindsay will square off with sixth-seeded Plainview in a 6:00 p.m. game; and second-seeded Chickasha will face seventh-seeded Cache in a 3:20 p.m. game.
