Activities Scheduled Throughout Next Week, Event Concludes March 3 With Show Dedication, Bonus Auction
Murray County 4-H and FFA youth this week are preparing for the annual junior livestock show, scheduled for a nearly week-long run beginning Tuesday, Feb. 25, officials announced this week.
The show will feature judging in chickens, sheep, dairy goats, gilts, barrows, and cattle.
Action will get underway at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25 when the exhibitors check in their animals.
Activities will pick up on Wednesday, Feb. 26 with a 9:00 a.m. start to the show with broiler, meat goats, sheep, dairy goats, gilts, barrows and beef judging.
On Thursday, Feb. 27, judging of ag mechanics will begin at 9:30 a.m. and on Friday exhibitors will assemble at the Expo Center for cleanup.
The event will continue on Saturday, March 1 with scholarship interviews and will conclude on Monday, March 3 for a free hamburger dinner at 5:30 p.m., followed by show dedication and an award’s ceremony at 6:00 p.m.
At 6:30 p.m., the annual bonus auction of students’ animals will begin, concluding the show.
