Powerlifters Seeking Eighth Straight Championship In Competition At El Reno
HARTSHORNE - Bulldog powerlifting won their regional competition and qualified 12 lifters for state competition.
The team earned a total of 252 points. Throughout all the divisions, Connor Sullivan lifted the most at 1,595, and Nash Williamson lifted the second highest at 1,505.
Sullivan won the 275-pound division, and Williamson won the 220-pound division.
Jason Gleason won the 242-pound division, lifting a total of 1,430. Manuel Gonzalez placed second in the 123-pound division, lifting a total of 860.
Daniel Gonzalez in the 132-pound division with a total lift of 885 to place second.
Xavier Osornio placed second in the 157-pound division, with a top deadlift of 455.
In the 168-pound division, Cooper Cole placed second lifting 1,165, and Dylan Gleason placed third lifting 1,035.
In the 181-pound division, Austin Garrett placed second, lifting 1,430, and Trenton Whitehead placed fifth, lifting 1,190.
AJ Gordon lifted 1,295 to place third in the Heavyweight division. Jojo Gray, in the 198-pound division, lifted 1,150 to place fifth. These state qualifiers will compete Friday in El Reno and will be gunning for their eighth straight state powerlifting title.
Other Bulldogs placing but not qualifying for state were Drew Brinson (168) receiving seventh, Grady Hardoin (181) receiving eighth and Dominic Ludlow (198) receiving tenth.
Reiss Randolph (145), Matthew Mayo (145), Noah Strasbaugh (157), Landen Woods (198), Thomas Jackson (220), Damion Brown (220), Acer Dixon (242), Wriley Ashley (242), Caden Frost (275) and Harley Peters (Heavyweight) also competed.
