Sulphur Bulldog baseball was 1-2 over spring break, bringing their season record to 9-3.
“We’re looking to improve off last week’s games,” Coach Mike Matlack said. “We are still not throwing enough strikes to beat good teams. If we can clean that up, we should give ourselves a chance to be competitive down the stretch as our schedule toughens up.”
The Bulldogs recently hosted Marietta and came away with an 11-1 win.
Carter Cole hit a home run, while Colten Cole and Drake Wood each hitting a double.
Mike Morris pitched the win. At the Marlow Festival, Sulphur took on the home team, losing 1-0.
Carter Cole hit a single for the Bulldog’s only hit of the game.
Luke Linville started on the mound, and Bridge Barrett finished the game.
Also at Marlow, Sulphur played Muenster for a 9-3 loss.
Morris had three hits, including one double.
The Bulldogs faced Douglass on Monday and Tuesday.
They will host the Sulphur Festival Thursday and Friday and play Ardmore Monday and Tuesday.
