Terry Lee Jones, a resident of Davis, was born on January 25, 1949 in Modesto, California to Willie Winnford and Eula Mae (Smith) Jones. He passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024 at his home in Davis at the age of 74 years, 11 months, and 21 days.
Terry grew up in Manteca, California where he attended school before enlisting in the Navy and proudly served in Vietnam. After his time in the military, he returned to California before moving to the Davis and Sulphur area in the late 1970s. Terry and Toni R. Curry were married on July 10, 1987 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was employed as a mechanic.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Barbara Lynn Link; siblings, Doug and Barbara.
Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his wife of 37 years, Toni Jones; two sons and daughter in law, Terry Jones Jr. and wife Tina and Shane Ross; brother, Harley Jones; five grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services were held at 2:00p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024 at Crossway Baptist Church in Sulphur with Reverend Bill Leveridge officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Don Curry, Kenny Curry, Chuch Pauley and Harley Jones.
Arrangements are under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home in Sulphur.
