Construction supplies and equipment should soon be rolling into this site on the grounds of Sulphur Public Schools to begin the $35.4 million project that will house an auditorium, performing arts center, career center, classroom additions, a lighted 110-space parking lot and many other enhancements.
Sulphur Superintendent of Schools Matt Holder said the project will begin to take shape when the steel and other supplies are delivered to the site in the very near future.
The project was approved by local voters on April 5, 2022.

The removal of the old gym, auditorium, and classroom annex and the preparation of the job site has been ongoing since last summer.
In addition to the major building projects listed above, additional improvements will be made to the vocational-agricultural building at the high school with any additional funds going for roofing, flooring and mechanical and electrical components in various areas around the school.
