Due to severe ice conditions last Monday, the Murray County Commissioners had the regular weekly meeting on Thursday.
The board approved several appointments to the Murray County Fair Board. District 2 had two vacancies to fill and District 3 had one vacancy.
Blake Lynch was appointed for District 2 to fill the unexpired term Brandon Meador, who resigned after moving from the district, and Kyle Conley was appointed to fill the unexpired term ofAlvern Gulla, who resigned from the board in District 2. Mark Pullen was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Jack Dudley in District 3, who resigned from the board.
Members also approve a contract agreement between Certified Payments and the Murray County Clerk’s office. The agreement now allows the clerk’s office to accept credit card payments.
In the regular monthly meeting for this week, the board approved a resolution for declaration of surplus and disposing of equipment in District 2.
Fair Board Members Retain Seats
Three fair board members who were up for re-election , will all retain their seats after the filing period ended last Wednesday.
No new candidates filed for the positions. Incumbents Sydney Donaho, District 1, Larry Keenan, District 2 and Steve Ratchford, District 3, will all remain on the board.
