The Sulphur girls snapped a three-game losing streak on Friday night, beating Dickson on the road 51-38, picking up a big win.
The Lady Dogs fell last Tuesday at Marietta, losing a close one 34-33.
Sulphur was at No. 13 (3A) Lone Grove on Tuesday and will wrap up the regular season at No. 10 (3A) Kingston on Friday.
“We have a tough week ahead with two ranked teams,” said Sulphur head coach Toby Todd.
The Dogs will be on the road for districts at Plainview on Feb. 16.
Sulphur fell to Plainview 5629 on Jan. 26 earlier this season.
Marietta 34, Sulphur 33 Sulphur lost in heartbreaking fashion last Tuesday, as Marietta made two free throws in the final seconds to win by a point.
The Lady Dogs led 33-32 and forced Marietta into a miss, but the Indians got the rebound and drew a foul.
Marietta made both to take the lead.
“It was a heartbreaker,” said Todd. “We just have to learn to make winning plays in that situation.”
The Lady Dogs struggled scoring, shooting just 26% from the floor and 3-of-17 (17%) from three.
Sulphur also had a tough night at the line, going just 3-of-15 (20%) at the charity stripe.
“We struggled from outside but what really killed us was our free throw percentage,” Todd said. “We just did not score well enough and missed way too many free throws.”
Rasey Runyan led the Lady Dogs with 13 points and seven rebounds in the loss.
EmmaleeArms had five points and three boards.
Sulphur had 10 assists on 13 makes, as well as just 10 turnovers in the loss.
The Lady Dogs forced 17 turnovers and scored nine points off of those takeaways.
Sulphur also had an advantage in points in the paint (12-4), offensive rebounds (14-7), and fastbreak points (6-0).
The Lady Dogs had 24 fouls in the loss, allowing Marietta to shoot 26 free throws.

The Lady Dogs played much better on Friday, behind several strong performances.
Freshman Jayden Lee went 10-of-13 from the foul line, while Jadelyn Scheer was 8-of-12 for Sulphur.
Rasey Runyan led the Lady Dogs with 22 points and eight rebounds. Scheer also had 14 rebounds in the win, while Kinzi Adkison also hit double-digits with 10 boards.
