An overflowing crowd was in attendance at the annual joint Sulphur/Davis Chamber of Commerce Banquet held last Thursday evening at the Murray County Expo Center.
Vegas was the theme for the evening with the slogan,“Take A Bet on Murray County.”
Masters of Ceremony for the event were Sulphur Chamber President Daniel Castilllo and Davis President Lacee Sartors.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mark Estlack and the Invocation was given by Tyler Porter.
The event was highlighted by the awarding a number of awards including each community’s citizen of the year and top businesses.
The awards and the recipients are as follows:
•Murray County Civic Group of the Year--Leadership Murray County;
•Leadership Murray County Award-Travis Jones;
•Sulphur Small Business of the Year-Bison Plumbing;
•Davis Small Business of the Year-Vision Bank of Davis;
•Sulphur Large Business of the Year-Safety Plus;
•Davis Large Business of the Year-Davis Public Schools;
•Helen Webber Citizen of the Year-Mistie Ibarra; and •De Lannom Citizen of the Year-Seandra Ramer.
In closing the 2023 out going presidents passed the gavels to the 2024 incoming presidents. Kelsey Lee will lead the Davis Chamber and Seandra Ramer will take over reins at the Sulphur Chamber.
