Sulphur High School Vocal and Drama departments will present The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Showtimes are 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The production will be held at the Ataloa Theatre on the campus of East Central University in Ada.
The Addams Family television show premiered in 1964. Although it was only on for two seasons, the quirky characters have become a beloved cult sensation around the world.
Since that 1964 premiere, there have been multiple adaptations of this family in movies, television shows and the musical version that the Sulphur kids have been working on. In the musical version, the gothic family attempts to combine with another “normal” family.
“You’ll have to join us on March 16 in Ada to see what the outcome is,” said Jennie Baker, Sulphur High School vocal director.
