Dogs Win Four In Busy BB Week

In a busy week for Sulphur baseball, the Dogs continued to play well, winning four of six games.

Sulphur (12-7) started the week off with two big wins over Dickson, beating up the Comets to the tune of 17-1 and 18-2 in a doubleheader on Tuesday.

The Dogs then hosted the annual Sulphur festival, winning the opener on Thursday 7-3 over Kingston.

Sulphur fell later that day 4-0 to Washington and in the game on Friday, losing 7-3 to Lone Grove.

But the Dogs ended the week on a good note, beating Whitesboro, TX 7-2.

Sulphur fell to Whitesboro earlier in the year, but the Bearcats, who were participating in the Sulphur festival and are head coached by Sulphur graduate Curt Cole, stuck around over the weekend for an afternoon game on Saturday.

The Dogs hosted Plainview on Tuesday and will be at the Kingston tournament over the weekend.

Sulphur hosts Newcastle on Monday before traveling to Newcastle on Tuesday.
