Kids Enjoy Egg Hunt Event Saturday
Easter Fun

Nearly 100 kids played on inflatables, enjoyed treats and hunted Easter Eggs during the Sulphur-Davis Elks Community Easter Egg hunt, held on the grounds of Sulphur Hills Golf Course.

The activities were held last Saturday morning and were free to the public.

Grant Bates, event organizer, said a large group of children raced to find about 1,200 eggs with six grand prize winners taking home bicycles and scooters.

Children also enjoyed playing on two bounce houses and munched on snow cones.

Bates, a teacher and coach at Sulphur Public Schools, this week thanked the community for their support of the event.

“On behalf of the Sulphur-Davis Elks, we’d like to thank the community for the incredible turnout at this year’s Easter Egg hunt,” he said. “Your support has made it possible to continue our efforts and we look forward to serving our community now and in the future.”

For several decades, the Sulphur-Davis Elks Lodge has hosted the event, and for many years it was held in Chickasaw National Recreation Area.
