Thousands Turn Out For Artesian Arts Festival
Enjoying The Festival

Thousands of people enjoyed last Saturday’s Artesian Arts Festival, a day-long event that showcased the works of over 100 First American artists from across the United States who displayed wide array of original and diverse art.

Above, activities were in full swing on a beautiful spring day as people visit individual booths set up for the artists and enjoy live entertainment from Choctaw singer/songwriter Samantha Crain, of Norman. She is a three-time Nammy (Native American Music Award) winner for her singer-songwriter, folk rock style.

Other musical entertainment scheduled were Bluez Boyz, Ihullo.Art, Issac McClung, RCB Band, Redman Blues Band, TJ Todd Band, Tone Gyah Dae and Travis Komahcheet.

In addition to the wide range of entertainment, First American dancers provided demonstrations throughout the day. Additionally, several food vendors served up a number of delicacies.

The 11th annual festival was free and open the public. Last year, there were more than 10,600 art patrons enjoying the festivities, held adjacent to the Artesian Hotel in the downtown Sulphur area.
