Courtney Leann (Amos) Sorrells was born December 7, 1998, in Ada. She died Sunday, May 5, 2024, in Davis, at the age of 25.

Courtney Leann (Amos) Sorrells was born December 7, 1998, in Ada. She died Sunday, May 5, 2024, in Davis, at the age of 25.

Courtney was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. After attending Sulphur High School, she began working in long-term healthcare at the Callaway Nursing Home. She held several positions, including nutritionist and activities director. Her hardworking spirit was shown every day. Her caring nature was a blessing to every resident she encountered. Courtney worked hard to ensure that each resident’s needs were met.

Courtney’s love for God was profoundly important to her. She worked hard to make sure her children were able to attend church and have a relationship with God.

Courtney’s greatest interest was spending time with her children and family. Her lifelong dream was to be a mother, and she was truly one of the best. She loved to help family and friends arrange gatherings and created countless memories that each will forever cherish.

Survivors include her husband, Payne Sorrells; her beloved children, Brycelynn, Kaydence, and Lennox Sorrells; her mother, Jeannette (Amos) Easterwood and stepfather, Mike Easterwood; her brother, CaseyAmos and wifeAbba; grandfather, FrankieAmos; niece Everleigh; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Courtney was preceded in death by her grandmother, PatriciaAmos, and cousin, Sterling Simpson.

Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 10, 2024, at the First Free Will Baptist Church, in Sulphur, with Bobby Amos and Steven Wall officiating. Interment followed at the Oaklawn Cemetery, in Sulphur.

Serving as pallbearers were Christopher Coatney, Kenneth Simpson, Stewart Simpson, Joseph Simpson, Bennie Simpson, and PrestonAmos.
