County Commissioners Approve Bids, Annual Contracts At Monday Meeting

The Murray County Commissioners opened six-month bids and approved many annual contracts for the Murray County Health Department at the regular weekly meeting Monday.

The Murray County Commissioners opened six-month bids and approved many annual contracts for the Murray County Health Department at the regular weekly meeting Monday.

Bids for Bomag, road oil, road materials, rock hauling, asphalt, oil and chips, asphalt laying, road side spraying and road stripping were all accepted by the board and will be awarded at a later date.

Pavers/Seal Masters in Davis, was the lone bidder on Bomag, oil & chips, and asphalt laying.

Bids for road oil were received from Vance Brothers and Ergon.

Six companies presented bids for road materials including P & K, Vulcan, Martin Marietta (Mill Creek, Washita & Davis locations), Hanson Aggregates, Share Corp and Dolese.

Rock hauling bidders included Brown Trucking, C &C Contractors, and K & B Trucking.

Hot and cold asphalt bidders were Overland, Paving Masters of Soouthern Oklahoma and Pavers/ Seal Masters.

Two bids were received for road side spraying from Opterra and Shuterra.

One company, Advanced Work Zone, entered a bid for road stripping.

Members approved the following Fiscal year, 2024-2025 service contracts between the Murray County Health Department and various entities: Arbuckle Cleaning Service, Arbuckle Memorial Hospital, Clifford Power Sysytems, Inc., Digi SmartSense, LLC, Kimmel Mechanical, Mattthew McDonald, Pitney Bowes, Standley Systems and The Big Man, LLC. Members also approved receiving and requisitioning agents for the health department.

In other agenda action the board approved the following:

•juvenile detention contract between Murray County and Creek County Juvenile Justice Center;

•juvenile detention contract between Murray County and Eastern Oklahoma Youth Services;

•transfer of funds from Rock Prairie Rural Fire Department to Joy Fire Department for the purchase of a fire truck;

•approved Resolution and renewal quote for ACCO-SIF for worker’s compensation insurance for FY 24-25; and

•approved CENA grant applications and resolutions for Oak Grove and Dougherty Senior Citizens Centers for FY 24-25.

Members tabled an agreement request between the Murray County Board of Commissioners and the 20th District Division II Treatment Court Inc. until further information was received.

No action was taken on janitorial services at the courthouse and annex.
