Jerry Kenneth Ridley

Jerry Kenneth Ridley, 91, a long-time resident of Sulphur, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2024 at the Blue River Nursing Home in Tishomingo. Born on May 25, 1933, in Sulphur, to Arthur Lee and Oleta Maxine (Kinney) Ridley, Jerry spent his life dedicated to his family, work, and passions. He worked as a computer programmer in the aerospace industry. Jerry was a proud citizen of the Chickasaw Nation and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany.

He worked as a computer programmer in the aerospace industry. Jerry was a proud citizen of the Chickasaw Nation and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany.

Jerry had a deep love for classic cars, both collecting and restoring them, and he also enjoyed repairing old lawn mowers. His musical talents included playing the piano, bringing joy to those who heard him play.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Oleta Ridley; his sister, Patricia A. (Ridley) Herndon; his brother, Eddie R. Ridley and his wife, Peggy M. (Fife).

Jerry is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer K. Burnett, and her husband, Jeff, of Mulberry, IN, and his cherished granddaughter, Caitlin N. Burnett, of Lafayette, IN; brother-in-law, James Herndon; one niece and one nephew and a host of many friends.

Jerry’s life was a testament to dedication, love, and service. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
