Devon Bradley To Begin Duties In August
New Superintendent Selected For Chickasaw National Recreation Area

The National Park Service (NPS) has selected Devon Bradley as superintendent of Chickasaw National Recreation Area, park officials announced this week. In this role, Bradley will also supervise the Washita Battlefield National Historic Site superintendent and support operations at the Oklahoma City National Memorial. Bradley will begin his new assignment in August.

“As acting superintendent during a devastating tornado at Chickasaw NRA, Devon helped see the park through emergency response and early recovery efforts,” said Deputy Regional Director Lance Hatten. “He has already established relationships with local communities, park partners, and tribal governments, including Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum and Chickasaw Nation. His diverse experience across multiple disciplines including budgeting, project management, and team building will be valuable as he takes on the new role.”

Bradley has 24 years of government experience, serving 10 years in the Marine Corps as an infantryman, 13 years with the Department of the Army as the Deputy of Operations, and most recently at Grand Canyon National Park as the facility management deputy chief.

“I’m excited to be returning to Chickasaw National Recreational Area, the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Washita Battlefield,” said Bradley. “It’s an honor to work with the employees, partners, and amazing community of stewards who care for all the National Park Service locations in Oklahoma. I’m eager to work with an incredible team and build upon my previous experience serving as the superintendent.”

Bradley will be moving to the area with his wife Megan. He succeeds Bill Wright who recently retired.
