Tommy Wayne “Tom” May was born July 28, 1958, in Tishomingo, to the late Tommy Sylvester and Vinita Fay (Covington) May. He passed from this life at his home in Davis, on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
Tom and the former Ms. Cindy Lynn Ward were united in marriage on June 11, 1977, in Tishomingo.
Tom grew up in Blackwell, prior to moving to Tishomingo. After graduating from Tishomingo High School, Tom attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University, on a football scholarship. Tom was a member of the Midway Hill Baptist Church, as well the Stratford Sportsman Club.
Those left to carry on Tom’s legacy include his loving wife Cindy; son, Toby May and wife Jenny; daughter, Cara LaNoy and husband Terry, and son, Keegan May and wife Ashely, all of Davis; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Anna Bell (May) Wedding and husband Marc; brother, Charles May and wife Pat; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by one brother, Wesley Todd May.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, at the Midway Hill Baptist Church, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.
