On July 14, 2024, Ronnie Wayne Sallee of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away at the age of 67. Ronnie was born in Harris County, Texas, on August 30, 1956, to Jack B. Sallee and Carrie M. (Fletcher) Sallee, both of whom have preceded him in death.
His memory will be cherished by his wife of 26 years, Jeri Lay; his brother Rick Sallee, and nephews Rick Sallee Jr., and Randy Bridges and wife Cindy; sister Susan Sallee-Chimento; and two stepsons, Robert Anthony Lay, and Joseph Sheldon Lay and wife Ashleigh.
Ronnie was good natured and charismatic, the kind of guy who never met a stranger. Professionally, he spent much of his time on the road as a truck driver for Ben E. Keith. In his free time, he loved fishing at Lake Eufaula, perfecting his pool skills, and listening to Elvis and adding items to his memorabilia collection. Most of all, Ronnie treasured his family and time spent with the people he loved. He will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2, from 6-9pm, at the South Lake Event Center, SW 119th St. in Oklahoma City.
