Hedy Inez (Rhynes) Agee passed peacefully on December 23, 2023 and was reunited with the love of her life, Calvin, just in time for Christmas. Born on April 20, 1933 in Lamar, Arkansas, Inez was a child of the dust bowl, moving with her family to California in search of a better life before being called back home to Oklahoma. Upon their return, her father founded Rhynes Surplus Store in Ada. Inez graduated from Ada High School in 1952 and studied Drama and the Arts at East Central University in Ada. Inez took a chance on a swing-dance class at ECU and while she had a full dance card, there was a particular, tall and handsome dance partner named Calvin that swept her off her feet. They married on October 1st, 1954 and spent a remarkable 68 years together.

Brenda Nell (Barnes) Ringer of Mulhall, Oklahoma, was born May 14, 1948 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Leo Eugene Barnes and Geneva Hattie (Boatwright) Barnes. She passed away on Dec. 9, 2023 in her home in Mulhall, Oklahoma, aged 75 years. She married Douglas George Ringer on September 5, 1970 in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Brenda grew up in Sulphur, graduated Sulphur High School and then attended Oklahoma State University majoring in Family Relations and Child Development. She played piano and marched in the Oklahoma State University Marching Band. When she completed her degree and received her teacher’s certificate, she substitute taught school at various schools in central Oklahoma.

Larry Lee Brownfield was born on January 1, 1956, in Ada, to the late Alva Morton Brownfield and Betty Lawanda (Cantrell) Weddle. He died on Thursday, December 7, 2023, in Davis, at the age of 67.

Seth A. Hensley, III was born on October 16, 1950, in Overton, Texas to Rosemary (Ball) and Seth Hensley, II. He passed away on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, in Norman at the age of 73 years and two months.

Wanda Lou (Mays) Russell was born September 11, 1943, in Chivington, CO, to the late Herman Frederick William and Floy Leona (Brown) Mays. She died on Friday, Dec. 8, in Ardmore, at the age of 80. Wanda and Rocky Russell were united in marriage on April 10, 1962, in Denver, CO. From this union was born two sons, Kennith and Bradley.

Billy Joe Edwards, Jr, better known by most as “Joe” or “Little Joe,” was born May 22, 1961, in Ardmore, to the late Billy Joe and Lona Kay (Saunders) Edwards. He died on Friday, December 15, 2023, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 62 years, 6 months and 23 days.

Charles C. Brown, a retired English teacher and resident of Davis, left this earth and went to his eternal home on December 8, 2023, at the age of 78 years, two months, and 16 days. He was born in Shirleysburg, PA on September 22, 1945, to the late William Roy Brown and Evelyn Brown (Goshorn). He chose to serve God when he was a young boy, and until the end of his life, he was true to his faith. His families, both natural and spiritual, were at the core of his heart.

April 24, 1938 – November 15, 2023 Dorsa Lavora Benn was born in Sulphur on April 24, 1938 and sadly passed away November 15, 2023 at the age of 85. Dora was the fourth of eight children born to Roy and Esther Benn (Sulphur).
