Peggy Lou Pierce

August 21, 1942 ~ December 5, 2024

Peggy Lou Pierce, age 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Peggy was born on August 21, 1942, in Mill Creek, Oklahoma, to Lula Beatrice (Billings) Doty and Archie H. Doty. Peggy and her family later moved to Sulphur, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Sulphur High School. In 1960, Peggy married the love of her life, Glen Patrick “Pat” Pierce, and together they built a life full of love and joy. Pat and Peggy moved to Moore, Oklahoma, and were blessed with three sons, Glen, Greg, and Kevin “Grant.” Never one for idle hands, Peggy loved working as a Purchasing Agent for Seagate Technologies.

Peggy had a childlike zest for life and marveled at the natural world around her. Whether she was sitting by a quiet lake or enjoying a scenic view from the car during family road trips, Peggy found peace and joy in nature’s beauty. She loved to share these experiences with her grandchildren during the countless trips to Colorado and Lake Eufaula. Peggy’s grandkids look back on those trips with fondness and memories filled with love and laughter.

Peggy’s universe centered around her love for the Lord, her love for her family, and an insatiable desire to serve others in any way possible. Peggy was an integral member of Grace Free Will Baptist Church before joining the congregation of Southern Oaks Free Will Baptist Church. She loved, served, and cared deeply for her brothers and sisters in Christ, with all her heart. Known for her sharp wit and her spunky personality, Peggy became a beloved example to all who knew her. She was a force of nature and leaves behind an unyielding legacy of faith, joy, and steadfast love.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents: Archie H. and Lula Beatrice Doty; Mother-in-law and Father-in-Law: Cecil and Mary Lea Pierce; husband of 60 years, Glen Patrick “Pat” Pierce; sister, Wanda Pierce and her husband Charles, and brother Archie Burl Doty; brother-in-law, Frank Smith.
