Benjamin James “Benny” Kubiak
Benjamin, better known by all as “Benny,” grew up in the Harrah area. He left high school in the tenth grade to pursue a career in the music industry. That plan was delayed when he was drafted into the United States Army on March 30, 1956. After being honorably discharged from the Army on March 17, 1958, Benny returned home and instantly began chasing his musical dream once again.
Benny was an accomplished fiddle player. His love for music prompted him to write numerous songs, as well as play with many famous musicians. His successful musical career led him to be inducted into the Western Swing Hall of Fame in Oklahoma, Texas, and Washington.
In addition to his musical career, Benny co-owned and operated a landscaping business for many years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing as often as he could. His most cherished pastime was spending time with his beloved family.
