Ted Jacob Dohmann
Ted grew up in Louisiana and Texas. He graduated from North Central High in Lebeau, LA, Class of 1997. While in high school, Ted was an outstanding athlete playing both football and baseball. After high school, he attended East Central University in Ada, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. He went on to earn his Master’s degree in Education at the University of North Texas. Ted began his teaching career with the Crooked Oak School System where, in addition to teaching, he also served as an assistant basketball coach. He then spent five years teaching at the McLoud School System prior to teaching English at Springer Public Schools.
Ted cherished being a father and loved spending time with his three children. Growing up, he was extremely close to brother, taking every step together with him. The two were stuck like glue. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing the guitar, gardening, and anything to do with sports. Ted will be greatly missed by his beloved family and friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Rayni Dohmann; two sons, Russell Dohmann, and River Dohmann; his father, Ronald Dohmann, Sr.; his mother, Gayla Hollis; and his brother, Ronald Dohmann, Jr.
Ted was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gervais “Blackie” and Nola Dohmann, and his maternal grandparents, Clifford Hollis, and Sue Able.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis, with Pastor Shawn Barker officiating.
