Robert Vance Uhles

Robert Vance Uhles, 67, was born in Sulphur, on February 23, 1958. He passed from this life peacefully on March 4, 2025 at his home in Sulphur.

Bob was a member of the Sulphur senior class of 1976 and began his career with Oklahoma Department of Transportation in 1979. He retired from ODOT as a professional land surveyor in 2022. He married the love of his life, Karla Fielding, on July 16, 1985. The couple had two sons, Robert and Mikl.

Bob’s passion was hunting and fishing with his friends and family. In the deer woods or on the side of a pond was his favorite place to be. The highlight of his life was teaching his wife and sons how to hunt and fish. He loved to cook and experiment with dishes and they were always keepers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Jackie (Rogers) Uhles.

He is survived by his wife, Karla, of the home; sons Robert Uhles and wife Brittany of Ada, and Mikl Uhles and wife Darrian of Sulphur; sister, Cynthia Kesler and husband Ricky of Sulphur; brothers David Uhles and fiancé Barbara Kraft of Maysville, and Mark Uhles of Sulphur; and four grandchildren, Thayne, Imre, Lainney and Garrett.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Dwight Cleveland, Spencer Shores, Clint Norton, Aaron Kesler, Ricky Kesler, Josh Merchant and Cory Merchant.

Services to celebrate the life of Robert Uhles were held Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Crossway Baptist Church sanctuary. Interment followed at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur.

Arrangements held under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Sulphur.
