He died on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at his home in Sulphur, at the age of 82. He and the former Ms. Hazel Fay Gilley were united in marriage on May 19, 1964, in Wynnewood. To this union were born two sons, Johnny Ray and Rex.

Anita Renee Brassfield was born August 24, 1969, in Lawton, OK, to the late Earl Ray Brassfield and Thelma Diana (Garner) Johnson. She entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Norman, at the age of 55.

Funeral service for Waylon Ryder Holley will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2024 in the Arena Cowboy Church, North of Lawton, with Billy Harmon and David McGhghy officiating.
