Friday At Washington With High Expectations

Football has returned and it starts with a bang, as Sulphur opens the 2024 season at No. 1 (2A) Washington on Friday night.

The Bulldogs ran through their first scrimmage of the season at Lindsay last Friday and will be prepping for this Thursday’s final scrimmage at Plainview. It will go off at 7:00 p.m. Sulphur will open the season on Friday, Sept. 6 at Washington.

Sulphur softball won four more games during a busy week, pushing the Lady Dogs record to 6-4 on the young season.

Lady Dogs Win Two Of Their First Three Games

Sulphur held its annual Red/White Game on Saturday afternoon, capping off a great first week of practice as the Dogs gear up for the 2024 season.

Sulphur’s Mace Mobly had an outstanding athletic career at Sulphur.

Sulphur football was officially back on the field this week, as the Dogs opened the 2024 season with their first practice Monday morning.

The Sulphur softball team started off its season with a 6-2 win on Monday evening, beating Wynnewood to get off to a fast start in 2024.

Bulldogs Launch New Season

Randon Thomasson, left, of Sulphur, competed the AIM World Youth Championship week during the ATA Grand in Sparta, Illinois. Randon represented the Oklahoma Dusters Team in sporting clays, skeet, and trap events held July 24-29th. The Oklahoma sub JR team finished 3rd overall in singles.

The Sulphur cross country programs will welcome some new faces leading the programs this fall, as the Dogs and Lady Dogs look to continue to build out what has become a strong program in the last decade.
