Bobby Dean “Bob” Howard was born December 15, 1935, in Mill Creek, to the late Benjamine L. and Edith (Miller) Howard. He died on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, in Sulphur at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 18 days. Bob and Barbara Ruth Nelson were married on July 31, 1959, in Sulphur. She preceded him in death on December 23, 2021.

Philip David Edgmon was born February 7, 1942, in Pauls Valley, to Filmore and Wilma Oliver Edgmon. He died on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, in Ardmore, at the age of 82.

Phyllis Sweeten, 88, formerly of Sulphur, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, in Norman.

Services for Roy C. Webb will held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Sept.

Archie Hugh Lawson, Jr., better known by family and friends as “J.R.,” was born October 18, 1948, in Checotah, to the late Ted and Jewell Nadine (Sisk) Lawson. He died on Friday, August 30, in Sulphur, at the age of 75.

Christina Leann Gibson, 39, better known as Leann, was born on February 14, 1985, in Ardmore, to Lavonda Ann Gibson and Ricky Dale Hamilton. She died on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, in Oklahoma City, following a year and a half battle with cancer. Leann faced her battle head-on and fought courageously until the very end. Although many prayed for the miracle of an earthly healing, God’s plan was different. He gave to her the greatest healing of all. Her struggle has ended and she is now at peace in the arms of Christ.

Randy Gene Batterton, known by many as “Hill Billy,” was born July 19, 1967, in Pauls Valley. He died on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, in Ardmore, at the age of 57.

Funeral services for Delma “Billie” Coll will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, at the Dougherty Cemetery, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating.

January 23, 1942–September 13, 2024 Marian Frances Sharber, 82, was born January 23, 1942 in El Dorado, OK to the late Thomas and& Esther (Durham) Adams. She passed from this earth on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024 in Sulphur surrounded by her family. She and Doyle Sharber were married on April 20, 1968, in Stratford, OK. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2017.

Louie Rose, of Sulphur Veterans Center, was born on March 12, 1934 in Oakland, California to Frank and Rose (Pimental) Rose. He passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024 in Sulphur at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 25 days.

Thomas Ray Wiles, better known by family and friends as “Tom,” was born June 24, 1956, in Madill, to the late James Leonard and Wanda (Davis) Wiles. He died on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2024, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 68.

Carolyn Sue Proctor was born November 29, 1944 in Levy, AR to the late Henry and Elsie McWhorter. She died Friday, Sept.13, 2024, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 79. She and David Lee Proctor were united in marriage September 24, 1996, in Sweetwater, TX. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2023.
