Johnny Rayford Stephens was born February 23, 1942, in Shamrock, TX, to the late John Alan and Ola Farrell (Marrs) Stephens. He died on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at his home in Sulphur, at the age of 82. He and the former Ms. Hazel Fay Gilley were united in marriage on May 19, 1964, in Wynnewood. To this union were born two sons, Johnny Ray and Rex.

Graveside services for John Julius “JJ” Coll were held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 8, at the Green Hill Cemetery, in Davis with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr will officiating.

Funeral service for Waylon Ryder Holley will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2024 in the Arena Cowboy Church, North of Lawton, with Billy Harmon and David McGhghy officiating.

Marvin L. Washington was born on February 25, 1974 in Oklahoma City. He passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024 in Sulphur, at the age of 50 years and 14 days.

Syble Louise Coffman Brown was born to Girald and Hazel Coffman on March 28,1938 at Springer, in the Arbuckle Mountains and went to her heavenly home on October 28, 2024, in Norman. She married Jim Brown on August 31, 1956, and they were married for 56 years until his passing in 2012.

Barbara Joyce Beaver, 85, was born on June 14, 1939 in Paris, Arkansas. She was born to Herman and Edna Brown. She passed away October 27, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Funeral services for Kathryn Nuegene Emerson will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at Hale’s Memorial Chapel, in Sulphur, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating.

Linda Jean Fondren was born August 20, 1946, in Lindsay, to the late Edward J. and Mable (Dennis) Osborn. She passed from this life on Sunday, October 27, 2024, in Sulphur, at the age of 78. Linda and David Harold Fondren were united in marriage on May 11, 1967, in Gainesville, TX. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2017.

LaWanda Oneta Jones was born on April 7, 1929, in Davis, to the late C.F. “Frank” and Hattie M. (Durham) Brassfield. She died on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at her home, north of Sulphur, at the age of 95 years, 6 months and 7 days. LaWanda and the late F.M. “Pete” Jones were married on November 29, 1952, in Davis. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2013.

Jay McClure was born on April 15, 1976 to Linda (Primrose) and Paul McClure in Sulphur. He passed away at home surrounded by friends and family after a long time battle with ALS on October 19, 2024.

Earl Ray Hunter was born August 8, 1943, in Sulphur, to Jess and Zora Hunter. He went to be with his Lord in Heaven on Sunday, October 13 ,2024 at the age of 81. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 18, 2024 at Crossings Community Church Chapel in Oklahoma City.

Virginia Lee Jones was born on November 3, 1949, in Sentinel, Oklahoma to Bart and Margaret Dobbs Holcomb. She passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 12 days. Virginia had lived in this area for several years; working for the Chickasaw Telephone Company as a bookkeeper for 15 years. She and Larry Jones were married on February 2, 1996, and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2011. Virginia was a member of the Church of the Firstborn.
